Dr. Stephen Bolick, Chairman and CEO of Eye Care Associates, is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Bolick has lectured and written nationally on practice management, contact lens care, and refractive surgery consultations.
Dr. Bolick founded Eye Care Associates in 1978 with the goal of providing quality, comprehensive eye health services to families in the Raleigh area of North Carolina coupled with a dedication to community outreach.

Dr. Michael Peters graduated from West Virginia University and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He joined the Eye Care Associates staff in 1988 and currently helps direct our Sportsvision program. He is the team eye doctor for the Carolina Hurricanes and has consulted for players in the following organizations: Atlanta Braves, Colorado Rockies, Pittsburgh Pirates, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Philadelphia Flyers, Atlanta Thrashers, Raleigh Express and Raleigh Wings. He also is involved with Sportsvision therapy geared to help athletes in golf, soccer and tennis. Dr. Michael Peters is accepting new patients in our Wakefield office.

Dr. Caroline Silver joined Eye Care Associates in 1991. She practices in one of our Cary offices at our Centrum at Crossroads location. She is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Silver specializes in contact lenses. Dr. Caroline Silver is accepting new patients.

Dr. Benjamin Lee has been a member of Eye Care Associates since 1993. He is also a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and Pennsylvania School of Optometry. Dr. Lee offers expanded evening hours in our North Raleigh office. He specializes in contact lenses and is also available for children screenings. Dr. Benjamin Lee is accepting new patients.

Dr. Altagracia Lopez is originally from Carlstadt, New Jersey, and joined Eye Care Associates in 2000. She is a graduate from Rutgers University and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Lopez practices in our Crescent Commons office in Cary. Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Lopez is also available to our Spanish speaking community. Dr. Altagracia Lopez is accepting new patients.

Dr. Steele received her undergraduate degree from Meredith College and then completed her optometry degree at Southern College of Optometry. Expanding her clinical knowledge of refractive surgery, Dr. Steele completed a postdoctoral fellowship on LASIK surgery in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Amanda Steele is accepting new patients in our North Raleigh office.

Dr. Jeffrey Strand is a native of Raleigh. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Nova Southeastern College of Optometry. Dr. Strand recently received an award for "excellence in contact lens fitting" presented by Alcon, and is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the national optometric honor society. Dr. Strand is currently accepting patients in Eye Care Associates' East Wake office located in Zebulon.

While Dr. Kate Whittington joined Eye Care Associates as an optometrist in 2003, she has actually been affiliated with the practice since 1996. After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she worked for Eye Care Associates for over three years in several areas - as an optometric technician, an employee trainer, and also as an office manager. She returned to school and obtained her doctor of optometry degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Whittington is currently accepting new patients at the Brier Creek office.

Dr. Daniel Gray, originally from Akron, Ohio, joined Eye Care Associates in 2003. He completed his undergraduate degree from NC State University and obtained an Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Gray practices Cornerstone office in Cary and is accepting new patients.

Dr. Jason Price is a native of the Cary area. He received his undergraduate degree from NC State University in 1999. Dr. Price received his doctor of optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2003. He then completed a post-doctorate residency program in Primary Care Optometry at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, where he enhanced his clinical knowledge of glaucoma and ocular disease treatment and management. Dr. Price sees patients primarily in the Louisburg practice. He is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Artis Beatty is a North Carolina native and grew up outside of Fayetteville. He is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill. Dr. Beatty received a masters of science and his doctor of optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He practices in our Brier Creek office. Dr. Beatty is available for evening and Saturday appointments and is accepting new patients.

Dr. Wells attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. He has served as a consultant on several panels for contact lens and lens solution manufacturers. He began practicing in North Carolina in 1980 and is accepting new patients in our Aberdeen office. Although a general optometrist, the bulk of his practice has been spent in contact lenses, injury and trauma, and eye care for the older adult.

Dr. Lisa Fuller is a native of Hope Mills, North Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree from High Point University in 1998 and then worked as an optometric technician for three years before entering optometry school. Dr. Fuller graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2005. She went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship in primary care and low vision at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Lake City, Florida. Dr. Fuller practices primarily in our Centrum office.  She is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Gail Long is originally from Sidney, Ohio. She obtained both her vision science degree and doctor of optometry from The Ohio State University. Dr. Long practices in the Wilmington / Carolina Beach area and is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Meredith Godino is originally from Scranton, PA. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from The Pennsylvania State University, and her doctor of optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Godino went on to complete a residency in primary care optometry at the W.G. Hefner VAMC, Salisbury, NC. Dr. Godino currently practices in our Garner office. She is accepting new patients.

Dr. Shanar Lou graduated from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Biology. She received her Bachelor of Science in Visual Science and her Doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Lou currently practices our Arboretum office in Cary. She is fluent in Farsi and is accepting new patients.

Dr. Chad Morgan graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK with a degree in Mathematics. He received his Doctor of Optometry from The Northeastern State University of Oklahoma College of Optometry where he earned awards including student of the year and the Award for Clinical Excellence in his final year. Dr. Morgan currently practices in our Wake Forest office. He is now accepting new patients.

Dr. Esther Nakagawara is originally from Oklahoma City, OK. She received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Tulsa and her Doctor of Optometry from the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry. Dr. Nakagawara completed a primary care residency at the W.G. "Bill" Hefner VAMC in Salisbury, NC. She currently practices in our North Durham office and locations throughout the Triangle. Dr. Nakagawara is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Darryl Glover is a Raleigh, North Carolina native.  While he joined Eye Care Associates as an optometrist in 2011, Dr. Glover has actually been affiliated with the practice since 2005. After completing his undergraduate degree at North Carolina State University, he worked for Eye Care Associates for two years as an optometric technician and trainer.  Dr. Glover later participated in an externship and a clerkship with Eye Care Associates as part of his study to earn his Doctor of Optometry from Salus University (Pennsylvania School of Optometry).  Dr. Glover is currently accepting new patients and is practicing in our Durham Southpoint office.

A native of Clemmons, North Carolina, Dr. Jennifer Lyerly completed her undergraduate degree at North Carolina State University, where she graduated valedictorian. She earned her doctorate at the Southern College of Optometry and interned at the W.G. Hefner VA Hospital in Salisbury, North Carolina. Dr. Lyerly graduated summa cum laude from SCO and was honored as an "Outstanding Clinician" in her graduating class. Dr. Lyerly practices in our Townridge practice as well as offices throughout the Triangle, and she is now accepting new patients.

Optometrist Dr. Hillary Dolan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Biochemistry from Duquesne University. She then earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Science and a Doctorate of Optometry in 2006 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. After graduation, Dr. Dolan completed a residency in ocular disease at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Upon completing her residency, Dr. Dolan practiced in an in-patient setting at multiple nursing facilities. She enjoys working with patients of all ages to promote comprehensive ocular well being. Dr. Dolan sees patients in several of our area practices including our Wake Forest office.

Dr. Nikki Robertson earned her undergraduate degree from East Tennessee State University in 2003 and her doctorate degree in 2007 from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages with an emphasis in speciality contact lens fittings and ocular disease mangement. Dr. Robertson practices in our South Square office in Durham, and she is currently accepting new patients of all ages.
